About the Project

We would like to introduce a new multimedia project “Exploring the world”, made by the 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th-year students of the Russian Embassy School in Warsaw.

The idea of compiling students' slide-shows into this resource appeared due to the necessity to develop their research skills and the ability to deal with original sources of information. According to the Federal Standards, students are supposed to analyze, adapt, sort and sequence the information they have access to. So this is the first attempt to research into the knowledge provided by the WWW resources in the English language.

Students demonstrated their skills and abilities to find the sites which provide information, to evaluate trustworthy sites, to scan the information, to choose the most important facts and to render them in a comprehensible way. It refers not only to the textual information but to the videos, pictures and all sorts of multimedia.

We explored the world of language, grammar, literature, monarchy, ways of communication and cuisine of the English speaking countries.

This resource can be used either by the next year students or by the teachers as a starting point and thus allow them deeper research into the topics.
